At Egremont our vision is:

 'Pride, perseverence and progress.'

Our school's Mission Statement is:

'Fostering an environment where all can flourish and achieve.'

Our Core Values are:

  • Working as a team
  • Taking responsibility
  • Finding creative solutions
  • Caring for and respecting all

For the Autumn Term, Egremont Primary will work collaboratively with their partnered schools from the Oak Trees Multi-Academcy Trust. Together, the five schools will study different aspects of "The Environment". Aspects studied by each Year group are outlined within the MTP documents below.

Our Intent:

"To Inspire, motivate and challenge our learners to explore the environment, value its purpose and feel empowered to become responsible global citizens."

Our school curriculum reflects the needs of our children, providing a range of culturally diverse experiences to reflect the society in which we live. We challenge all learners to become independent and to achieve academically; as well as promoting the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of the children to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. The children are taught to understand their own community as part of a national and global society. We equip children with the skills and knowledge which will develop them as independent life-long learners.

The National Curriculum forms the basis for Curriculum planning throughout the school; KS1 and KS2 are taught a range of subjects as listed below:

  • English
  • Maths

Most subject areas will be taught in a cross-curricular content, linking to our current theme.
