Our Governing Body
Egremont Primary School became an Academy as part of the Oak Trees Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) on 1st June 2017. A new Chair of Governors, Mr Ted Behan, was elected in February 2018 and a new Vice Chair of Governors, Mrs Lisa Collins, in September 2018.
The Trust is made up of Members and Trustees from across the MAT schools and each school has a Local Governing Body (LGB).
The Governing Body is responsible for working with the school to ensure that it delivers the highest quality of education for all of our children. The Governing Body works effectively with the Headteacher, Mrs Claire Spinks, who is responsible for day-to-day management and operational procedures of the school.
There are currently 10 members of the Governing Body who bring with them a wide range of expertise from varying professions.
The Full Governing Body meets every term, with additional meetings in the Autumn and Spring Terms.
