Admission Arrangements

Admissions to Foundation Stage 1 and 2:

Parents wishing to send their children to this school should complete the Wirral Authority Primary School Application Form available after 1st September and return it to the Education and Cultural Services Department by the middle of January to ensure the allocation of a place.  Applications received after the published deadline in January will be dealt with once the offer of places has been sent to parents on the last Friday in March. You can also apply online on the Wirral School Admissions Website.

Children are admitted full time in September. In the summer term before they begin school, parents are invited to a welcome afternoon session for all children and their parents/carers to meet the Headteacher and Foundation Stage staff.

Children for admission to Foundation Stage 1 can apply in the term after their third birthday.

Admission to other year groups:

Parents wishing to send their children to any other year group should make an appointment to see the Headteacher.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Headteacher for further details or clarification regarding mid year admissions. Whilst the Local Authority is the official admissions body, information is available from school.

Appeals and over-subscribed year groups:

If any year group is over-subscribed, the school will consider if it can continue to meet legal requirements by accepting more children into the class/year group. If legal requirements can continue to be met, the school will admit children based on the following priorities:

SEND status

Social Care Needs

Locality

Siblings

Should you wish to appeal against a decision, the appeals section of Wirral's School Admissions Page details the process involved. The link to this page is below.
